The Iranian judiciary is looking to prosecute a woman for disrespecting her head scarf at a public meeting in Tehran.
In a video that has gone viral on multiple social media sites, the woman was seen walking away from a stage as she flings her headscarf to the ground.
The incident took place during a meeting at the Iran Construction and Engineering organization in Tehran. The woman is yet to be identified.
The custodial death of Mahsa Amini in September of 2022 sparked widespread protests across the nation against regressive state policies.
In recent weeks several public spaces like pharmacies, restaurants, and cafes have been barred from serving women refusing to wear the headscarf.
